What's different from vanilla
Server-side only: you don't need any mods to join.
Redstone dust updates in a faster, more predictable order. Normal builds work the same; contraptions that rely on vanilla's location-dependent dust quirks may not.
Experience orbs that land together merge into one, so big farms don't lag.
Dropped items stack together from up to 2 blocks apart instead of half a block.
Going back through a Nether portal returns you to the portal you came from, even when several Overworld portals share one in the Nether.
Proximity voice chat. Install Simple Voice Chat for 26.3 to use it; without it you just won't hear anyone.
Block changes and container access are logged, so griefing can be traced and rolled back.
Everything else is performance work (Lithium, C2ME, FerriteCore and friends) that keeps vanilla behaviour. The world was pregenerated 5,000 blocks around spawn.
